AOD Counsellor/Care & Recovery Coordinator
Thorne Harbour Health, Victoria’s largest provider of LGBTI health services is now recruiting for an appropriately qualified alcohol and drug clinician to provide predominantly appointment based counselling with some care and recovery coordination. The position is based at our main office on St Kilda Rd with one day per week at Uniting ReGen in Coburg. Clinically, you will have demonstrable skills and experience in delivering trauma-informed AOD counselling and brief interventions. Knowledge of HIV and Hep C is desirable.
The AOD Counsellor/C&RC sits within the growing Counselling, AOD, Family Violence and Capacity Building Programs (CASP) and works with a small team of clinicians, casual group facilitators and volunteer peer group facilitators. The successful candidate will have previous AOD experience and genuine interest in working with LGBTI community members and people living with HIV.
