About the position

We have an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and experienced person to join our highly reputable and iconic community services organisation. The Children’s Group Worker position incorporates case management, consultation and recovery consultation to Homelessness and Family Violence Services as well as therapeutic groups, advocacy and support to children accompanying families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or experiencing family violence.

About you

We’re looking for a motivated person who has a genuine interest in and commitment to helping disadvantaged children & young people.  You will have a diploma qualification in Social and Community Services or other relevant qualification and previous experience in delivery of group work and working with children & young people within the community sector. Empathy, resilience, outstanding communication, networking and advocacy skills and a preference for working within a collaborative team environment are a must
