Family Violence Services

    As part of the Rapid Response Team this position will deliver high quality, safe and effective responses to women, children and families seeking support and safety through the Salvation Army Family Violence Services. The Family Violence Services works with service users from a feminist perspective, aiming to empower and increase the safety of women and children.  

Position Requirements

  • A national police record check is required
  • A current and valid Working with Children’s Check is required
  • A national police records check is required
  • A current Victorian Drivers licence

Key selection criteria

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of family and domestic violence including context, principles, philosophies, policies, regulations and legislation
  2. Knowledge of the physical, emotional, psychological and behavioural impact of trauma and abuse on women and children who have experienced FV.
  3. Demonstrated ability to use appropriate risk models to assess levels of risk, harm and well-being, including immediate risk
  4. Communicates and liaises with key stakeholders as appropriate to ensure all client needs are met.
