About the opportunity
The Reconnect NAYS Worker will provide culturally sensitive support services through case management and group work for culturally and linguistically diverse newly arrived young people and their families. The NAYS worker will engage youth in activities that are designed to help them address life issues related to housing, employment, building social networks and strengthening family and community relationships and enable relevant support structures and referrals.
We would love to hear from you if you have an appropriate tertiary and/or post graduate qualification with relevant experience in the Community, Human Services or Social Welfare sectors.
You will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of various issues facing culturally and linguistically diverse young people and their families and communities, experience and knowledge in strength-based case work practice and group work, the ability to network and establish sound working relationships with related services, especially primary and secondary schools and community agencies and excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital.
