We are looking for vibrant and skilled HM Child FIRST Intake Worker to join our Hume Moreland Child FIRST team. Formerly Kildonan UnitingCare, we have joined together with 21 UnitingCare agencies to form a new organisation; called Uniting (Victoria and Tasmania). Uniting is now one of the largest community service providers within Victoria and Tasmania. Uniting to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice. Uniting works alongside people of all ages in local communities in Victoria and Tasmania.
What’s involved in HM Child FIRST program?
Hume Moreland Integrated Family Services Alliance is a partnership of Community Service Organisations, Community Health Services, local councils and the Department of Human Services who work together to ensure strengthened and appropriate service responses for vulnerable children, young people and families, living in the local municipalities of Hume and Moreland. Hume-Moreland Child FIRST is the community based intake into integrated family services, responding to families, referrers, community networks and professionals.

We want to hear from you!
We would love to hear from you if you have experience in working with vulnerable children, youth and their families, a Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma of Community Welfare Work and excellent interpersonal, communication and casework skills.
In addition to this, you will have, knowledge and understanding of intake, assessment and responses, a sound understanding of strengths based approach to service delivery and an understanding of child development, family systems, ecological theory and demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable children and families with complex and multiple needs.
Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy using MS Word, Outlook, Excel and efficient and effective data entry skills is also needed.
