MS Australia – ACT/NSW/VIC provides a wide range of support services, information resources and educational programs to help people living with multiple sclerosis understand and manage the disease to achieve optimal health and wellbeing
We now seek a Welfare/Outreach worker to join our experienced Client Services team, located in Kogarah, NSW. This is a unique opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and to make a difference in the lives of people living with MS!
Your duties will include:
* Providing evidence based information, psycho-social support and advice to people with MS and their families
* Facilitating access to information and education as well as advocating on behalf of the client
* Engaging with local health and community service providers to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery
We seek an individual with:
* Previous experience in a related disability or health care position
* Tertiary qualifications in social work and/or other related discipline as well as appropriate registration
* An understanding and knowledge of the disability sector
* Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
* Demonstrated communication and networking skills
* Current driver’s licence & own vehicle
