KINSHIP CARE - PROGRAM MANAGER OPPORTUNITY

McArthur is currently recruiting a Program Manager for the new Kinship Care Program.

The new Kinship Care Program will be made up of four major components:
1. Kinship Information and Advice;
2. Kinship Family Service (brief interventions) ;
3. Kinship Placement Support (interventions of up to 6 months duration); and
4. Kinship Placement Support (transitional and/or longer term case contracting).

The Program Manager will be responsible for program establishment, coordination and ongoing management, as well as direct supervision and management of caseworker practice in the Kinship Care program.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and knowledge:

• Sound knowledge & experience of the child welfare system and out of home based care sector
• Demonstrated team leadership & supervisory skills
• A focus on best practice principles and capacity to monitor and evaluate quality outcomes
• Capacity to work in close partnership with DHS and build networks with other community based organisations
• Ability to promote and communicate the aims & objectives of the kinship care program to all stakeholders

Essential requirements for this role are:

• Qualifications in Social Work or related discipline
• 3-5 years experience in team leader or management role
• Approved valid Drivers Licence
• Australian Criminal Records Check
• Working With Childrens Check

Salary will be negotiated on SACS Award according to Qualifications & Experience.
